Lesson Notes

Welcome to Radical Design 2.0!

I announced this course at the beginning of 2020, and even though I put a lot work into it and stressed every single day about when I'd be able to launch it, I never did. 1.0 never got finished. I was too in my head, dealing with too many ideas, and too many things going on in life to find the perspective I needed to create this course the way I knew I could.

As it turns out, the solution was to treat this course the same way I treat my design work. To drop all pretenses, not seek perfection, stop comparing myself and my work to others, and craft a piece of work that expresses my creativity in an authentic voice.

You're probably here because you want to get better at design. Maybe you have no experience with design at all or maybe you're just in a creative rut. Maybe you're a developer, or a writer, or a chapel ceiling painter, and you want to be able to take the thing you're working on and put yourself in it, to have it represent you, and stand out in a sea of same-same websites and creative content.

So that's what I'm going to do. Teach you how to develop your own design style and make your work stand out.

Thank you for putting your faith in me — I promise I will pack this course full of as much value as I can gather together, and if I do it right, you should feel like you got the better side of this deal.
